At the end of all the talks and group sessions, the MC told us all that the speakers would be in the back and anyone could go back there to meet them. It was pretty amazing how everyone felt so safe to share anything they wanted even though we were all strangers to each other. I think other woman felt the same as me too, as my tears weren’t the only ones shed that day. And never have I felt such relief and a huge weight lifted off. And let me tell ya, with tears streaming down my face I poured my heart out to these woman I had never met before. We then broke into little groups where we talked about our own personal struggles and goals. And since it was Ted style talks they only each spoke for about 10 minutes each but wow, what they delivered in those 10 minutes was pretty amazing! They were all so empowering and all shared personal stories and struggles. Listening to all these woman speak really spoke volumes to me. You see, I was in a depressed slump in my life at the time and really felt like I was struggling. Little did I know that I would not only get to meet one of my photography idols, but that this would be a life changing event for me too.

Plus all the other woman speakers sounded pretty amazing themselves. I had never seen her speak in person and really wanted to. So when I found out that she was going to be a speaker at Urban Campfire a woman’s event in Seattle put on by Crave Company, I bought myself a ticket. I love Sue for everything that she is… empowering woman all over the world, an amazing photographer, smart business woman and of course her kind heart plus many, many more things. Many tears have been shed while sitting in front of my computer listening to her speak. Give it to me straight! But another thing about Sue is that she is all about loving yourself and getting rid of self hate. She tells it how it is and doesn’t sugar coat anything and I personally love people like that. One of the things I love about her is that she is very honest, genuine and real. The very first time I saw Sue was on creative LIVE and I fell in love with her within a few minutes of hearing her speak. Please if you haven’t done so yet, go check out Sue’s website. And I am here to tell you that that is not the case! She has taken glamour to a whole other level… think contemporary, fashion, beautiful, timeless… the list goes on and on. If you don’t know who Sue Bryce is you’re probably thinking old 80’s glamour style portraits. Sue Bryce is an internationally renowned portrait photographer and is pretty much the best glamour photographer out there.

Let me start with the master of portrait photography.
